SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai organizes SRMJEEE 2020 exam as an entrance test annually to invite admission in BTech courses offered by itself annually. It is an entrance level exam that is mandatory to pass by every student to get admission in all SRM campuses situated in Chennai, NCR, Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Amravati, Haryana and Sikkim. SRMJEEE stands for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam.

 

SRMJEEE Latest Update

Students who want to get admission in this prestigious institute must have the latest information about the exam dates. According to the official notification of SRM university, the SRMJEEE entrance exam has been cancelled due to increasing cases of COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, students will get admission in BTecfh courses on the basis of their 12th board exam from a valid board (ICSE, CBSE, State board). It is important that physics, chemistry and Maths / Biology should be the main subjects in 12th board..

Also, you will get an advantage in the admission process with JEE Mains marks. Application form is now available on the official website of SRM Institute of Science and Technology that is www.srmist.edu.in. Now, students can apply online and update your board exam if published or else you can update it when it is released. Important dates of SRMJEEE is announced on the website.

Earlier, it was scheduled to be held from April 12 to April to 20 April but due to lockdown it was postponed and rescheduled on July 30, 2020, to August 4, 2020, in more than 125 cities of India, Doha, Muscat, Kuwait and Dubai.

SRMJEEE Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to get admission in this engineering college must need to fulfil the eligibility criteria of SRMJEEE. It is the basic condition to apply for admission in BTech courses offered by the SRMJEEE course. Eligibility mentioned below

  1. The candidate must be an Indian. Either resident or non-resident.
  2. Only those candidates can apply for admission with valid documents issued by the government of India.
  3. It is important that you must have completed 17 years age at the time of application or on 31 December of applying year.
  4. Candidates must have passed then 12th board exam from a valid board with at least 50% marks or more in intermediate from the valid board like (ICSE, CBSE, state board)
  5. Also, if you are appearing in the 12th board exam this year then you can apply for admission in SRM university.
  6. Direct admission is invited by the university and scholarship to talented students. If you get top rank in board exam or holds top 1000 place in jee mains exam then you can get admission without appearing in SRMJEEE.

 SRMJEEE Admit card

SRMJEEE  admit card will not be released this year as the SRMJEEE is cancelled by the administration of SRMIST. However, it is the mandatory document which is needed to be present at the time of exam in the exam hall. Also, in the counselling, you have to present an admit card of SRMJEEE along with other mandatory documents. You can download the admit card from the official website.

SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of SRMJEEE has been announced by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Questions are taken from three main subjects: physics, chemistry and maths. All process will be conducted by the SRMJEEE exam pattern. Total of 125 questions will be asked in this entrance exam within the 150 minutes through the online exam.

SRMJEEE Results

The results of SRMJEE will be announced after the exam on the official website of SRM University exam. However, this year, the exam is cancelled and this year results won’t be published. After the results, counselling will be organized in 2 rounds. And seats will be offered on the basis of merit. The SRM university administration has announced that admissions will be invited on the basis of 12th board exam score. Also, if you scored good in JEE mains exam or SAT exam then you will get the advantage in the admission process.

SRMJEEE Admission Process

  1. Fill the application form: Visit the official website of SRM University and fill the application form in online mode. At the time of fee payment, you have to use the online fee payment method by using net banking or credit/debit card method..Candidates can fill the application form offline also. They can obtain offline applications from the post offices along with demand draft.
  2. SRMJEEE Slot booking: Choose the slot of exam according to your preferences.
  3. Download SRMJEEE (UG) Admit Card and appear in the exam: In 2020, the SRMJEE exam is cancelled so you don’t need to download an admit card this year, but it is mandatory to sit in the exam.
  4. Check SRMJEEE Result: On the official website of SRM University, students can check their results. By using the credential you got on SMS and email. Dates for the result announcement are yet to be announced.
  5. Counselling: Candidates who got good score in the SRMJEEE exam and got shortlisted for the admission process then  you have to appear in the counselling.
