NEET UG 2020: NEET UG is an entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to invite admission in MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, AYUSH, and some other paramedical courses in medical colleges of India. AIIMS and JIPMER have now been merged into NEET exam so the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is the one and only entrance test for MBBS and other medical courses. Latest Updates of NEET-UG 2020

Due to Corona Virus Pandemic, the NTA has extended the important dates of the NEET 2020 exam. Earlier the exam date was scheduled for 3 May 2020, but due to Lockdown implemented in our country to prevent coronavirus, dates have been extended and now the exams will be held in June. The NTA is waiting for Clearance about Lockdown to release the admit card of the students.

Further updates, correction windows have been reopened for candidates till 3 May of this year. This test is expected to be scheduled very soon to invite admissions on over 66,000 seats of MBBS and BDS in more than 470 medical colleges in India (Government and Private).

 NEET UG  Eligibility Criteria

It is important for NEET UG aspirants that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of NEET-UG 2020. These are parameters to test a student whether he/she deserves admission or not.

Nationality- Candidate should be an Indian or NRI

Age Limit- The candidate must have completed 17 years at the time of admission. But not more than 25 years. Students who are 17-25 age group can apply for this as they are eligible.

Academics Qualification-   it is important that students must have passed the 12th board exam from a valid board like ICSE, CBSE or state board.  4  subject should be in his/her syllabus English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Minimum percentages in 12th board-  It is important that students who belong to general category must have 50% marks in 12th and SC/ST/OBC candidates are eligible if they have obtained 45% marks. Similarly, General category physical disables students are eligible if they have scored 45% and OBC/ST/SC Disabled students need only 40% marks.

Attempt Limit-  There is no attempt limit, students can try as many times he/she wants. But it is important that students fulfil the eligibility criteria

The NEET Syllabus 2020 will be based on the syllabus designed by the Medical Council of India. The NEET syllabus will include topics from various branches of science like zoology, Botany, Physics and Chemistry subjects.   2. Now Click on new registration
  3. Fill each detail asked there about the candidate
  4. Upload the scanned copy of relevant documents, Passport size photograph, sign and left thumb impression of the candidate
  5. Now before click on the submit button, make sure you have Entered the right information
  6. Now in the next step, pay the fee of application for by online method (NET Banking/Debit/Credit Card)
  7. Now take a printout of the receipt

The NTA will release the admit card on March 27, 2020 (As scheduled). Now due to corona virus dates has been changed. Candidates can download their admit card once released.

 NEET UG results 2020

National Testing Agency will publish the NEET exam results after the exam. Students who appeared in the exam can download their results by using the log in credential they have. Results date was pre-scheduled but due to Lockdown, all the important dates have been extended. After downloading the results, students can easily know their AIR (All India Rank) and Marks on the official website.

 Dress Code of NEET-UG for Students

The National Testing Agency (NTA), conducting body of NEET exam 2020 has set the dress code for students for are coming for NEET UG exam. Also, a  long list of prohibited things on the exam centres. Students who not follow this rule, will not be permitted to enter the exam centres.

NEET 2020 Dress code for males:

  • Wearing a simple and casual dress
  • No Full-sleeves dressed are  allowed
  • Dress should not have any pocket, secret zip or layers, etc
  • Avoid layering your clothing
  • Footwear should be simple. No Boots, shoes or any covered footwear are permitted
  • Only light slippers/sandals are allowed

NEET 2020 Dress code for females:

  • Wear half-sleeved shirts or t-shirts
  • No Long and fancy sleeves dress are allowed
  • Avoid all pieces of jewelry (metallic and non-metallic)
  • Fancy footwear is not permitted in the exam hall.
  • Slippers or open sandals are allowed

NEET 2020 Guidelines for Exam Days

The National Testing Agency has been released special guidelines for Exam day. Every student will follow these guidelines otherwise he/she is not permitted at exam centers. These rules have all the information about the dress code, documents to carry at the admission centre.  It is clearly mentioned that students should be present at the centre 45 minutes before.

Documents required for NEET Exam at Centre

NEET exam rules are strict, important documents to carry at the exam mentioned below. Except this, no other documents will be allowed.

  • The Admit card with Colored photograph on it
  • An Official ID proof issued by the government (Aadhar/ PAN/ DL/ Passport/ Voter ID etc)

Following are the list of items that are banned in the examination hall

  • Any kind of paper except admit card and ID proof is not allowed
  • Scale, pen, writing pad, calculator, geometry box/pencil box, etc are not allowed
  • No electronic devices are is allowed at the centre, not even health bands.
  • Wristwatches, wallet, scarves, belts, handbags, caps any other or any such accessories are not allowed

NEET UG Cutoff

Students must obtain equal to NEET UG 2020 cutoff. The conducting body of the exam will release the results and cutoff.  Aspirants who belong to general category have to score at least 701 to 134 out of 720, (50th Percentile) whereas, students who belong to SC/ST/OBC category must have to secure at least 133-107 marks (40th Percentile). This year cut off marks will high in the comparison of the year 2019.

NEET UG 2020 Counseling

Students who have got equal or more marks than NEET-UG cutoff 2020 can register for counselling on the official website of Medical Council Committee. On this website, only for Central universities and state level colleges will conduct counselling separately.

If you are eligible for admission then you must have to present some documents mentioned below.

Ans. technically you can, as the certificate valid for at least one months, but we recommend applying with a new certificate.
